The guest exhibition “In the Swarm of Sacred Memories” from the House Museum “Ivan Vazov” will be opening at 5:00 p.m. on September 13, 2023, at the House Museum “Konstantin Velichkov” in Pazardzhik, located at 6 Teodor Trayanov Street. The exhibition was created in 2020 to commemorate the anniversary of Ivan Vazov’s birth and has since been displayed at various museums across the country. The House Museum “Konstantin Velichkov” is the sixth museum to host this exhibition.
The exhibition consists of 18 panels, each of which is associated with the poet’s hometown and takes us on a journey through Ivan Vazov’s sacred memories. Visitors will learn about the origins of the city’s name, the Vazov family, including Mincho, Saba, and their extended family. Furthermore, the exhibition highlights how dear Sopot was to Vazov, especially his childhood and teenage years.
In addition, the exhibition narrates the story of Vazovtsi’s native house, its restoration, and transformation into a museum with updated expositions over the years. Everyone who loves Vazov and his work can now visit this holy place.
The exhibition will be open every weekday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until November 13, 2023.
