Art from Asia and Africa

A guest exhibition “Art from Asia and Africa” from the Specialized Museum of Carving and Painting Art, Tryavna will open on July 15, 2022, in the central building of the Regional Historical Museum in Pazardzhik, 15 Konstantin Velichkov Square.

The objects participating in the exhibition are part of a big donation from the sculptor – Zlatko Paunov.

A part of his extensive collection is of artworks related to Buddhism, Hinduism, and other Southeast Asian beliefs. These are mostly ritual objects from temples and homes, as well as attributes of Buddhist priests.

Another part is the Masks of Africa. They are cult objects, uniting the art, culture, and lifestyle of the people inhabiting this exotic continent.

You can see the guest exhibition until August 31, 2022, on working days – from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
